With areas that are very public, Gilbane was provided with a great opportunity to brand their spaces while teaching clients and visitors what Gilbane is made of: lasting core values, a strong family, and rich history.

Several repeating elements include using diagonals visually connecting the long corridors to provide a sense of movement forward and a halftone representation of historical photographs to show how Gilbane's history is behind everything they do while providing an abstract element when viewed up close. Areas that are internal use allowed for opportunities to celebrate things such as projects completed in RI (over 400), an 800-list of clients, and a hallway dedicated to the Gilbane workers, which are considered part of the founding family. The elevator lobbies celebrate four generations of Gilbane leadership, with the floor number providing more meaning than usually found in an office space.
